Teachers' Blog Teachers' Blog

Linked with the webinars organised for the project teachers, this blog will display teachers thoughts, plans, ideas and experience with tablets in classroom. After each webinar, the teachers will write a reflective post on the given topic. Along the course of the project, this blog will provide an interesting insight into day to day teaching with tablets.

Blog post 6 - ZŠ Dr. E. Beneše, Prague, Czech rep

Give your response with an explanation and your reasons.

1. What did you find most challenging during the CCL project?

To work with two different types of tablets. We had to decide which apps we would use.

To motivate children to be responsible for they work - they were enthusiastic but did a lot of mistakes. We had to repeat phases make-ask-remake at least twice to get some usable results.

2. What was the biggst benefit of participating in the CCL project?

As mentioned above, I believe this collaboration helped my students to be more responsible for their work.

3. What have you been able to achieve? What are you most proud of?

To show my students that their work can be used and can be useful, it doesn't stay only in the classroom.

To show my students that a teacher can be a partner, he or she doesn't have to know everything and may sometimes need help, too.

4. How will you take the work forward? How will you disseminate your work to others?

Inside our school: during our regular meetings I will share the results of the project. I will help my colleagues with using tablets in their lessons.

Outside our school: during seminars I lead I will inform about our achivements.  I am going to take part in a European academy course and if Czech colleagues will have problems with understanding I help them.

5. 2 Top Tips for other teachers

Do not forget, it is not tablet who teaches the children, it is you.

Use tabets for work they are ment to be used.
