Teachers' Blog Teachers' Blog

Linked with the webinars organised for the project teachers, this blog will display teachers thoughts, plans, ideas and experience with tablets in classroom. After each webinar, the teachers will write a reflective post on the given topic. Along the course of the project, this blog will provide an interesting insight into day to day teaching with tablets.

Blog entry 5 - Chris Carey

1. My project for learning scenario 2

will be largely based around 'Liberating Learners', trying equip students with the resilience and ability to produce work designed by themselves. The project will begin using an online test designed by ePace, in which results will analyse how each student learns best. Students will then be coached to produce a piece of work that will enable them to improve their own areas of weakness.

2. In the learning scenario I plan to work with a year 11 (aged 15/16) group of low ability students to produce a campaign around either Internet or road safety. The campaign will be aimed towards younger members of the school.

3. I would really like my students to create a short movie, presentation, animation, etc... Regarding Internet or road safety that can be used to help educate younger students in the academy. The style of their presentation will hopefully created in a way that will improve their own understanding, not just in the topic, but also of the way in which they learn best.

4. I would like to try making better use of apps such as Edmodo to store pupils work. I can animate, imovie, captions, pic collage. These apps will be potential options for students to use to create their own campaigns.
